Transport Systems
The Omnis Transportation Module provides a management system for controlling and accessing both the video data held on the MDVR’s (Mobile Digital Video Recorders) located on each vehicle and other relevant bus telemetry data, such as speed, acceleration, breaking etc. Data is collected and held on each vehicle until it returns to the depot at which point any data requested is transferred, via a wireless link, to the local depot.
A user, based anywhere in the company, can request information about a particular vehicle over a specific time period. Typical reports might provide details of all events by driver per specified period or league tables which show the number of events per driver, per depot, per route or per vehicle type. Such information reduces costs both in relation to litigation and vehicle servicing since it provides an accurate record of any event and allows individual vehicle servicing programmes to be adapted to suite the way it has been driven.
