January 2008 - Salent Win Best Software at the IIPSEC Innovation in Security Awards

In recognition of their Management Software for Remote Monitoring Centres Salent won the award for Best Software. The award recognises the commitment of the Salent team to developing high quality, flexible and open standard software for the security market.

November 2007 - Salent Secure Grant from Scottish Enterprise

Salent has been awarded a grant to support our continued innovative development. It help develop a new innovative product aimed at a specific security sector. The product will be built around the Omnis Core Framework. More news on this will follow in the coming months...

October 2007 - Salent to Launch Latest version of Omnis at IIPSEC 2008

Salent will be launching the latest version of their Omnis Integrated Security Software Suite showing how the software is ideally suited to RVRCs and ARCs and other monitoring centres.

September 2007 - Salent release latest version of Omnis Management Software

Salent have released their latest version of the Omnis Control Software. This is a major release and includes a number of enhancements that enhance customer use, provide support for redundant server operation and imporved flexibility for the already aclaimed Event Management System.

July 2007 - Salent Launch new web site and Logo

Salent's new web site and logo provides a crisper look and feel to be in line with the Omnis Product. The new web site will provide customers and those interested in the company and it's products an easier method of finding the right information. We hope you enjoy using it.

April 2007 - Salent Launch Policy Module

Salent launched a new module allowing policies to be defined using flow charts. The flow charts can be added as a user response defined in the Core Event Management Module. Once the policy is defined defined as a response the operator must follow the flow defined in the flow chart. Every action is audited and can be quickly reviewed by the administrator.

This addition means that Salent have a very powerful system for ensuring compliance to defined procedures.

March 2007 - IFSEC2007 Exhibition Preview

Salent will be showing the latest version of their Omnis Integrated Security Software Suite, at IFSEC07 the NEC in Birmingham during May 2007

February 2007 - Salent Finalist in IP Security Awards 2007

The fantastic response to the Omnis Software Platform at IIPSEC2007 was also recognised by the industry. The Omnis software successfully reached the final of the IP Security awards.

Mike Heinrich, Salent's MD stated "Doing so well at these awards is recognition by the industry that Salent is leading the field in open integrated Security Solutions. The possibilities of a truly hardware independent software platform for integration and management is being realised within the industry."

January 2007 - Salent Omnis Software causes a stir at IIPSEC07

The Omnis Software demonstrated the real value of a hardware independent integrated platform. Salent demonstrated how access control, CCTV and building management could be controlled, monitored and managed through a single system.

The response from end users, installers, integrators and distributors was excellent. No other manufacturer could demonstrate the power of a truly integrated platform with a fast and easy to configure event system.

January 2007 - Launch of new Access Control Application module

Salent is pleased to announce the launch of a new access control application module as part of the Omnis Integrated Software Management Platform. The open approach of supporting 3rd party vendors continues with support for HID's IP Vertx range and Netgenium's IP access control readers and controllers.

This launch shows how Salent is leading the move towards a fully integrated security solution. Integration between major security systems no longer needs to occur in a restrictive manner.

Omnis Support for Netgenium Lighting Controller

Salent are pleased to announce the support for the first Building Management Application, the Netgenium Lighting Controller. This is a natural extension to the standard Security Application Modules available within Omnis. It's now possible to take any event from one the security systems and control the lighting systems within a building.

This is an exciting development showing how an integrated software platform can start to add value to the security systems.

IIPSEC Exhibition Preview

Launch of Maritime Security System in Partnership with C&M Group

In conjunction with the C&M Group, Salent are pleased to announce the launch of an integrated security system designed specifically for use in the harsh environments typical to the maritime industry. First systems have been installed on a number of supply ships to the Oil & Gas industry operating in the Gulf of Mexico, with roll out on a wider scale now planned.
