Business Modules

The Business Modules interrogate the data generated by the underlying systems and devices. Security systems contain a wealth of valuable information. This becomes substantially more useful and potent when the systems and their underlying data are integrated.

The Business Modules are designed to resolve industry specific problems by analysing and reporting on the underlying data. They are designed to help you improve operating efficency and increase profitability. The examples below are a selection of business modules we can provide. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

Procedure/Incident Handling

Incident and alarm handling requires a coherent set of procedures to ensure compliance to legislation and company specific operating policies. The Omnis Incident Handling Module allows the user to define the processes to follow when a particular type of incident occurs.

The module manages and queues incoming alarms and notifies speicfic users as appropriate. Process flow charts guide users as they deal with each incident. All the incidents and a log of operator actions are automatically stored as evidence for retrieval at a later date. In this way it is possible to demonstrate compliance with predetermined policies and procedures.

Visitor/Vehicle Logging

The Visitor/Vehicle Logging module provides a way of managing visitors and cross referencing deliveries and shipments. It links data generated from the access control and surveillance modules to visitor and shipment information entered into the system. The arrival of a visitor/ vehicle is used as a trigger for various responses. The responses could include informing the relevant person or department of the visitor/vehicle arrival, start CCTV recording of the unloading/loading of the shipment and storing the footage to an evidence folder.

Maritime and Offshore

The heightened security requirements have had significant impact on the maritime sector. Salent, in conjunction with C&M Group have developed a system that links in key vessel systems with the on-board security systems to provide an automatic log of who and why indviduals are onboard. This helps the ship comply with the International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Legislation.
